Murder in New Zealand

A post from Steve Klomp’s personal Facebook page

Henry Hamelink, Research Officer for the Coalition for the Defence of Human Life, wrote the following article recently. The facts are easily verifiable. The architects of this bill and New Zealand Parliamentarians who voted for it are cold and calculating murderers. The revelation are shocking. Read what is now permitted in New Zealand. Forgive me Lord, but I would condemn those who who wrote or voted for this law in a heartbeat if I were the judge. Unless they were too stupid to understand I suppose. Read for yourself how you can be killed if you are the wrong gender or if you have a cleft lip (perhaps the easiest abnormality to correct on the face of the planet). Read for yourself how you can be killed in the most horrible way without pain killers. Read how a New Zealand child is left to die if it somehow survives the abortion. This is sick:

New Zealand now has the most extreme abortion law in the world. This after the Abortion Legislation Bill was rushed through Parliament by PM Jacinta Adern. All in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic! Is it possible that this new bill will kill more vulnerable New Zealanders than COVID-19?

The Bill passed by 68 votes to 51, a much narrower margin than at it’s first and second reading.

The new law legalises:

  1. abortion on-demand, for any reason, up to birth;
  2. sex-selective abortion;
  3. abortion up to birth for disabilities including cleft lip, club foot and Down syndrome;
  4. no requirement for a doctor to be involved with providing an abortion;
  5. that babies born alive after a “failed”abortion are not required to be given medical support;
  6. that pain relief not be required to be given to babies being aborted between 20 weeks and birth;
  7. intact dilation and extraction abortions (also knows as partialbirth abortions).

The Bill also removes the existing freedom of conscience rights from New Zealand medical professionals. In a minor win, due to a voting mix up, the Bill no longer provides for 150-metre exclusion zones around abortion clinics.
